For whatever reason any time I click a link on the page, it brings up a save as dialog trying to get me to download some thing labeled as "naked.exe" - not really sure if you know about this?

I agree completely and definitely belong to SECU.

When I recommend credit unions to people, I can't tell them if it's possible to join without working for the state, a corporation, etc. So be sure to tell people about any credit unions that anyone can join.

Thanks a lot!

I'm thankful for family who always love, frequently listen and sometimes understand. For music that sustains me. For having heroes to look up to and friends, new and old, to rely on. For a peaceful, generous community with common purpose, shared values, and dedication. For faith, hope, and the promise of real change in abundance. For everyone who worked so hard for so long to make history. For a leader I believe in. For passion. For opportunity. For Traction. For Jamaican American Thanksgiving with jerk turkey, rice and peas and rum cake. And for Tar Heel basketball, which (of course) is number one.

I'm thankful for my friends and family. I'm thankful that we moved to a swing state, for once my vote helped turn a state blue!(AR was a solid red). I'm thankful that we moved to an area that has trees & greenspaces! I'm thankful for finding a group of people who get out there & work for what they know is right!

I'm personally thankful for my family and friends that have supported me and my goals from the very beginning. I'm thankful for the amen corners around the world that kept my spirit going and my hands gloved when the world came out of the corner. Most of all, I am thankful for so many people, near and far, who have sacrificed so much to fight for issues, rights and basic needs that everyone deserves. To this bunch of pioneers, I bow to you and say - 'Job well done, keep marching, keep winning, keep lifting one another up and always, always remember who you are and from where you have come!' - your sister in the struggle, Charmaine

Me, I'm thankful for my family, my health, my health insurance, a roof over my head, student loans, good friends, and good dogs (most of the time anyway).

I'm also grateful for same-day registration during early voting, incredible numbers of patriotic young volunteers and activists, and of course the exciting potential of a new Presidential administration and the hope that we'll ALL be part of transforming this country and planet – so that everyone can be thankful for their health and roofs overhead, among other things.

How about you?

When's the estimated wind down time for the event? I work in Chapel Hill and get off of work around 6, so I don't know if it'll be worthwhile to try and swing by.

I am 18 years old and a first time voter. I was inspired to make a video for Barack Obama based on a song I wrote, "Never Give In, Never Give Up" Please check the video out and use it if you like it. Thank you.

This little city of ours is growing by leaps and bounds, a constantly changing landscape and skyline. Whatever your particular relationship with Durham, I think we can all agree that we love this place and it gets a bad rap from outsiders! We would like to change that: thus, The Doughman was born...

The Doughman is a Self-propelled Gastronomic Tour of Durham, combining the elements of a triathlon with our other passion: great food. The event is a quadrathlon 4-person relay: each team member will be required to eat a "house speciality" at their relay stop, then bike or run to the next stop. One leg will also include a "water feature" to complete the trifecta of physical activity. Some of the best, most innovative and iconic Durham eateries have generously agreed to serve as our relay stops in the inaugural event: Fosters Market, Nosh, Luther's, Dains Place and LocoPops. The goal of The Doughman is to showcase the community spirit, great food, culture and historic landscape of our rejuvenating town. We are also doing our best to "green" the event - through the printers/tshirt vendors/partners/sponsors/etc we are using.

In that Durham-centric vein, The Doughman will also raise funds and awareness for an outstanding local non-profit organization: the Durham Inner-City Gardeners [DIG] of SEEDs. You may have seen them selling their wares at the Farmers Market. The work these kids do is amazing - from planning the garden to raising and harvesting crops to running the farmers market booth - and all within the confines of the urban landscape. It is a truly innovative youth program that does not get near the credit it deserves! [much like durham...]

That's where you come in: we need your help in spreading the word throughout the Durham community. We are looking for participants, volunteers, sponsors, donors, spectators and publicity!

The details: The Doughman will be held on Saturday, May 24 from 8am-11:30 (or until the last team finishes!) throughout Durham. The race will start at Foster's Market and end near the Farmer's Market, with a few stops along the way. Full race information and REGISTRATION can be accessed at www.doughman.org. We also have a facebook event page: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=11279539924. And if that's not enough, just contact us at info@doughman.org!

Help us make this event a celebration of the best of Durham - her citizens in action to support a great cause. Thanks for your time, and don't hesitate to contact me for more information.
We hope to see you there!

Lanya! You sound like such a rock star in that first article... well I suppose you are a bit of one.

I hope to run into you at any and every national progressive event I attend, and if I'm in the area I'll come to any Traction events I can schedule. Let me know if you ever need any website, hosting, graphic design, or tech-help... and I'll try my best.
